Narcissistic Abuse Recovery
Narcissistic abuse and PTSD aren’t just psychological experiences; they can manifest physically as well, through chronic tension, fatigue, anxiety, and a disconnection from your body’s wisdom.
Whether in relationships with partners, family members, or others, often leads to a sense of confusion, self-doubt, and deep emotional wounds. Survivors may experience feelings of shame, low self-worth, and even trauma symptoms like hypervigilance, flashbacks, and emotional numbness.
PTSD:
Post traumatic stress disorder can arise not only from physical trauma but also from long-term emotional and psychological abuse.
Trauma can leave lasting scars, impacting your mental and emotional health. I am trained in trauma-informed care, utilizing therapeutic approaches that prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment. We work together to process traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and promote healing and recovery.
My goal is to help you release the trauma stored in your body, reclaim your sense of empowerment, sense of self and rebuild your self-esteem.
Disordered eating/body image:
I offer compassionate therapy for those struggling with eating disorders and body image concerns, integrating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Somatic Therapy to address the emotional, cognitive, and physical aspects of recovery.
DBT helps clients manage intense emotions, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and improve self-acceptance. Through mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation skills, we work on reducing harmful behaviors and building a positive relationship with food and body image.
Somatic Therapy brings attention to the body’s experiences, helping clients reconnect with their physical sensations in a healthy way. This approach fosters body awareness, reduces stress, and supports healing from trauma often linked to eating disorders.
Together, these modalities offer a holistic approach to healing, guiding clients toward a balanced and empowered relationship with themselves and their bodies.
Learning to accept ourselves as we are!
ADHD is multifaceted, it can impact relationships, impulsivity, organization, and emotional regulation, but it also comes with creativity, energy, and potential. Together, we work to understand how ADHD shows up in daily life and develop practical strategies for managing symptoms, whether through time management techniques, improving focus, or navigating emotional overwhelm. My goal is to empower clients by building self-awareness, reducing feelings of frustration or shame, and promoting self-compassion. Therapy is a collaborative space where we explore tools and coping skills that fit each person's needs, helping them gain control over their lives and unlock their full potential. With the right support, ADHD can be transformed from a challenge into a source of strength and resilience.
Depression can feel like an overwhelming weight, affecting every aspect of your life. I provide a supportive and empathetic space to explore your feelings and uncover underlying issues contributing to your depression. Together, we work on developing practical tools and strategies to manage symptoms, improve your mood, and enhance your overall well-being.
Anxiety Living with anxiety can be debilitating and exhausting. I specialize in helping you understand and manage your anxiety through a variety of techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT, mindfulness practices, and breath-work. My goal is to help you regain yourself.
